ARPDAU and DAU/MAU calculator

Calculate your game's ARPDAU, ARPU, ARPPU, payer conversion, and DAU/MAU stickiness from a few numbers, and see how your stickiness compares with PC games.

Use the same period for every number. MAU and paying players count each player once, however many days they played or paid. Paying players is optional.

Enter revenue, average DAU, and MAU to see your metrics.

How the calculator works

Formulas

ARPDAU is the revenue divided by the number of days, divided by the average DAU. ARPU divides the revenue by MAU, ARPPU divides it by the players who paid, and payer conversion is the players who paid divided by MAU. DAU/MAU is the average DAU divided by MAU, and multiplying it by the number of days gives the days a typical player played in the period.

For example, $15,000 of revenue over 30 days with 2,000 players on an average day is an ARPDAU of $15,000 / 30 / 2,000 = $0.25.

Use one period for every input

Revenue, MAU, and paying players have to cover the same days. MAU is the number of distinct players in the period, not the sum of DAU, and paying players counts each player who paid once. That makes ARPU, ARPPU, and payer conversion period values: they are higher than the same metrics calculated per day and averaged.

Benchmarks

The DAU/MAU benchmarks come from the GameAnalytics 2026 Mobile and PC Gaming Benchmarks, which cover 3,582 PC games during 2025. GameAnalytics publishes ranges, so the calculator uses the middle of each one. It does not publish DAU/MAU for mobile games.

We found no public ARPDAU or ARPPU benchmark with a named, recent dataset, so the calculator does not grade them. Compare them with your own earlier versions and months instead.

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate ARPDAU from monthly revenue?

Divide the month's revenue by the number of days in the month, then by your average DAU. $15,000 over 30 days with an average of 2,000 daily players is an ARPDAU of $0.25.

What is a good DAU/MAU ratio for a game?

In GameAnalytics' benchmarks for 2025, the median PC game had a DAU/MAU of 4% to 5%, the top 25% about 7%, and the top 10% 13% to 15%. Targets such as 20% or 50% come from social apps that people open every day.

Why is ARPU higher than ARPDAU?

ARPU counts each player once for the whole period, while ARPDAU counts a player again on every day they play. A player who plays on 10 days counts 10 times in the ARPDAU denominator and once in the ARPU denominator.

Is the ARPDAU calculator free?

Yes. It's free to use without an account. It's made by Game Stats AI, a game analytics platform that calculates these metrics every day from your game's own data.
